In Uruk, Tatsuya and Kyoko's father encounters their mother. Together, they discover the tomb of Gilgamesh—the supposed source of Dynamis. Scientists from around the world join the effort to study the discovery in greater detail, leading to the establishment of Heaven's Gate. During this period, Kyoko and Tatsuya's mother is pregnant and is set to be returned to Japan to ensure the unborn child is not harmed by Dynamis.
